The two main objectives of the office are to spread the building of a tradition of peace in the three regions. The communities of Western Oromia, BenishangulGumuz and Gambella have been working together to respect each other's culture and traditions, and it’s still working. It is mainly focused on rehabilitating communities displaced due to conflict and identifying the sources of their conflict.

The office will carry out the following activities in the three regions:

• Bring together leaders from the three regions to discuss and review community issues

• Conduct peace conferences and community dialogue between harmonious environments

• Executive skills training will be provided to government structures and office focal persons on various topics

• The community will be brought together for festivals and cultural programs.

• A strong Peace committee will be established between districts and districts, villages and villages to resolve problems between them on their own.

• Establish Peace clubs in schools to ensure that students and teachers live together respecting each other's culture, traditions and language.

• Competitions will be held among the youths of neighboring regions to strengthen brotherly coexistence by bringing them together through sports.
